So join us in exploring the 6 Kombucha Cocktails to Serve at Your Next Party.

#1 – Kombucha Mojito

The Mojito is a refreshing cocktail which is a deeply rooted in Cuban history.  One of the nation’s oldest cocktails, the mixture of white rum, mint, sugar and lime juice has been time tested and approved by many.

While it has existed for a long a time, it is a cocktail easily adapted to modern times.  Kombucha has a nice way of changing the flavor profile of a Mojito without dominating it’s lovable characteristics.  Old meets new in a beautiful way.

It’s the type of cocktail that is made in to a big pitcher, shared with friends and is finished as quickly as it is made.  The sweet and citrus taste paired with the smell of mint and rum instantly puts you in a relaxed state of mind.  Reminiscent of lazy beach days of the past and future.  Patios and good friends.  Sunglasses and warm radiating heat.  Wait where am I again? and where did my Kombucha Mojito go?

#2 – Kombucha Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is a staple cocktail in bars and restaurants all across the world.  Infamously served in a copper Moscow Mule mug to keep it ice cold.  It has a spicy and citrus flavor that you love to sip on over dinner.   So where did this great liquid invention come from? Russia right? Not quite.  Would you have guessed that it was originally created in the USA?

A very confusing background considering the name and ingredients.  But one thing is clear.  This is a cocktail that can be enhanced from both a flavor and health perspective using kombucha!  Most kombucha lovers have some form of ginger kombucha sitting in their fridge.  Let’s put that kombucha to work!

#3 – Kombucha Whiskey Sour

The Whiskey Sour is a crowd favorite for its pleasing balance of flavors.  Typically made using bourbon or rye whiskey, the smoky taste of bourbon is well complimented by the sour and sweet ingredients.

The first recorded history of this drink was in the 1862 book by Jerry Thomas called The Bartender’s Guide.  However, it is well noted that for a century prior, the basic recipe was used to combat the challenges faced by sailors during sea travel.  Malnutrition, scurvy, and sea sickness were a serious issue to contend with and a captain’s solution was to assist their ailing crew with liquor, sugar, and lime/lemon juice.  What a medicine!

Like many food or drinks made from necessity, it has carried forward over the years as a fan favorite.  To this day we savor the simple but delicious concoction.  In this day and age where health consciousness has become the necessity, we like to add kombucha cocktails to the mix to fix what ails ya!

#4 – Kombucha Sangria

When you think Summer patios you think Sangria.  The fruit chunks, combinations of aromas and flavors, the sweet but not overly sweet taste, the tartness of wine and citrus.  The fact that you can get your vitamin requirements while drinking alcohol.  What’s not to love?

Only one thing could make this lovely drink even better, kombucha.  Conveniently, kombucha already has the fizzy, tangy flavor that a good Sangria requires.  Any pre-made, fruit based kombucha will do the trick.

But why stop there? it’s a drink where you can use any seasonal, fresh and abundant local fruit to create your own twist.  The more variety the better and you can create your own piece of artwork in a pitcher!

Another classic cocktail with deep roots in the mid 1800’s.  The original champagne cocktail used a sugar cube, aromatic bitters, cognac, filled up with champagne and garnished with a lemon peel. Many variations have surfaced since then and who doesn’t love a little bubbly mixed with their orange juice for a delectable Mimosa.

The Champagne Cocktail is a drink to celebrate with.  Why not celebrate the flavor and hang over preventing benefits of kombucha?  Using kombucha as a staple ingredient in this cocktail works magically and you will thank yourself in the morning after the big event.

Your guests will be surprised by your outstanding mixology and by the fact that they just had kombucha cocktails!
