In this recipe we will show you how to fix a classic cocktail with a modern twist using kombucha. The Kombucha Margarita. Be the talk of your next party and serve something different.

Equipment

  • Margarita Glass or Tall Glass
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Cocktail Shaker and Strainer
  • Plate

Ingredients

Serves: 1

  • 1.5 Ounces Tequila (100% Agave)
  • 1.5 Ounces Triple Sec
  • 1.5 Ounces Lime Juice
  • 3 ounces of raw kombucha
  • Flaky Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
  • Handful of Ice

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass and dip into a plate of salt.
  2. Combine the tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice and ice in the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
  3. Pour mixture in to your glass, add kombucha and stir
  4. Garnish the side of the glass with a lime wedge.

Notes

  • Your raw kombucha should have some sugar remaining in the brew to balance the sourness of the lime juice.
  • Try using flavored kombucha such as kiwi to accentuate the flavors.
